About Us

AYA Grief Education — coaching rooted in education and lived experience that is always guided by love and empathy.

AYA Grief Education meets you where you are — and helps you move forward. Through education, compassionate guidance and trauma-informed coaching, we transform grief from something that is happening to you into a force that clarifies your values, unearths your resilience and empowers you to shape a life that, despite what you have faced, are facing or will face, still holds power and purpose.

We are dedicated to partnering with you and ensuring that you feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout your healing and recovery journey. We strive to create a stigma-free, supportive and safe environment, delivering customized care. Our commitment is to offer accessible, non-clinical support, helping you nurture resilience, foster healing, and achieve personal growth. Reach out today to schedule a consultation. We are here to bear witness to your grief and support you as you define the way forward.

The 3 Pillars of our Coaching Model:

Understand your grief

Although grief is universal, there are common misconceptions. Learn what grief is — and why your experience is valid, not a problem to be fixed.

Build forward momentum

Develop habits, tools and language to process grief & loss and move toward your next chapter.

Reclaim your life

Integrate loss as part of your story, or even a new understanding of your beginning — not the end of it.

NPE Grief Support

Discovering that one or both of your biological parents are not who you thought they were—an NPE (Non-Paternal Event / Not Parent Expected) event—is a profound existential shock.

The immediate aftermath of an NPE discovery often triggers "disenfranchised grief"—a deep sense of loss that society doesn't always recognize or validate. The goal is not to "get over" the discovery or your grief, but to understand and accept this new reality while learning to carry both, with confidence and strength.

Experiencing a Not Parent Expected OR Non-Paternal Event isn't just the revelation of a "family secret"; it is the loss of your foundational narrative. The grief that ensues doesn't have to be navigated alone.
